Qalia human monks have 10 sec invul....this is the one i usually use as its a 100% invul.....drunken and harmo defense discs are only partially useful in apw Doesnt matter if you are drunk, harm or dragon.....u still get that racial invul:)
Combining errant strikes and celerity will up your thousand fist hits to around 35k each....havent tried to combine jolt with that but will in near future.
Sidenote: Errant strike doesnt always work for some reason even if you retarget your tank during the fight. Quite annoying.
Once you get your 5set of APW armor your dps will skyrocket with celerity proccing very often in some cases.
They really need to give us forcetaunt back. Its partially working as instant force still tho. Last night i was able to chaintaunt a mob, next fight it only worked once....so its a little back and forth. Monks will die in apw forcetaunting so i dont see how this can be exploited. They should give it back to us imo.
Yeah drunken is FAR more dps than dragon with errant strikes and 4x thousand fists. What they should do was giving dragon those abilities and drunken the minor AE that dragon has as drunken has better defense and can take the hits from multiple mobs. (well better than dragon anyway)
Yeah several ways to split in apw as solo monk. I never really gave the snaretactic much time as i found most mobs unsnareable in apw. Of course if you learn which mobs can be snared then thats a really good way to split. The doorbug is also a good way but can only be used in certain spots. Until they give us a random mob reset the far best way is to split using 2 monks when the mobs are unmezzable.
When u get a working raiddiscipline there will be no need to mark mobs prior to pull to know which ones to mez on inc. Will speed things up when u get that into the routine:)
Tested this last night using both 1handers and a 2hander.... When using 1handers i got (2400+1200) When using 2hander i got nothing....only You hit uber_mob01 for 2400 damage. No (..... + .....) so this damage in () is mainhand + offhand damage when dualwielding and has nothing to do with the celerity damage added. Ergo there its very hard to see what celerity actually adds to your normal damage other than that blue text. Which again means its hard to know if it actually works at all. They did nerf it tho ....that im sure of....back in the days when i used it i hit easily for 4 x 30-50k damage in a normal group with a bard.....now i rarely go over 4 x25k damage raidbuffed and with bard. Considering the damage a rogue deals it wouldnt hurt if they actually gave us: You hit uber_mob01 for 20.000 damage You quickly strike for an additional 20.000 damage You quickly strike for an additional 20.000 damage You quickly strike for an additional 20.000 damage You deal a total of 80.000 damage to uber_mob01
Edit: When i say 4x30-50k and 4x25k i mean with thousand fists line (im drunken) as we get 4 hits in thousand fists...not 2.
Im drunken monk and Im using staggering fist + crescent kick + boundless fist in addition to secret as primary attack. Doesnt seem to always work tho.....when farming 2dots for my skinning i noticed: Some mobs were close to 1rounded by it, meaning i hit them dead in one hit or almost. Some mobs were almost not hurt at all by it even if my hits did the normal damage (yes i checked)
So im thinking that as they are all hitting at virtually the same time, sometimes the game doesnt register all the hits as damage?
Yeah only times i use secret of ice is when im fighting firemobs in apw that gets healed by secret of fire... at least its easy to switch between the 2. If i KNEW that ice actually slowed the target id use it constantly.
1: make it work instantly.....meaning ONE pushing hands pushes mob out of stance. Kinda silly that you have to push 8-10 times on a mob sometimes... On a mob like DL that delay means A LOT. 2: If not then, yeah, at least give us a message saying we succeeded 3: Remove 75% of the end cost.
A few months a go i was in RI and being a monk i drew aggro on one of the water maidens in there.....i then got an update on RITW 3....but i didnt get it completed... Few days ago i was back in RI and i tanked every water maiden i could find but getting no more updates on the ability....is it broken?
