i really hope they don't take it out and that its just broken, my favorite ability of any class to date. Just recently switched to Harmo from Dragon so don't know if this is widely known, but if you say pull 2 mobs that are close, Dot a mob with deadly addler strike and FD the dot seems to pre-agro the other mob also while you are still FD - i can see why from the dot would initally re-agro the dotted mob, and social to the other mob, but it should instantly wipe since you are still feigned, which it does not.

Huh, i don't feel i have too much problem solo'ing mobs granted i don't think i've ever taken a 4 dot mob.. is that possible? are you drunken and harmo monks able to solo a 4dot of blue or even con? heck even lblue ?
sun dragons corona is semi useless and ifs being compared to find the center then we are truely jipped. its partially useful for apw where some mobs ae fire, but definately no where even in the ball park of what i'd trade to have find the center.
I'm resaonabilty happy with dragon, tho i do admit i don't find myself using many of the abilities - i do the usual chain of cresent kick, finishers, maybe a boundless fist or 2, jin surge and feet of fire kick (gets decent with a crits, have had a few 4-5k dots, usually 1.5-2k) i use aspect of spirit dragon for SNARFs and giggles only really, and the frontal ae is great!....well great for building jin with no mobs around, or slaughering that group of grey lvl 8 mobs you just ran thru...
oh - had an idea how bout give dragon monks an extra fist of fire and fist of ice? would increase dps, easy to implement and would kinda be in line of what everyone else has, just a step up.

those sound like some solid changes, 50% might be a tad much on the dragon stance i get the idea of the glass cannon but i think that would push us so far down the ladder even casters would midigate 10x better than that. I do think an offensive stance should be that offensive, not defensive and have some drawback to the added damage... i just don't think it should be debilitating to the point im just a close range caster.
Again i don't mind a penality for being offensive i'd just like it if a mob turned on me, or an ae hit me i'd not go down like a wet tissue paper.

oh, and i know this has probably been touched on 100 times already but 3rd chain aoe finisher? bleh? i mean its great if i want to....slay 30 greys at once, maybe instead of a 3rd aoe finisher, throw one on top of our dragon mastery finishers, or both!

Would be nice if dragon monks got a "find the center" type ability, both drunken and harm get one - dragon monks get...? invis? that everything anywhere you would actually need it see's thru?

love it!
I'm always fond of games where the characters, classes and races are very diverse. Vanguard has a decent amount of diversity to it in respect to classes, with classes like monks, clerics, necros and shamans being able to split even further into different "types"
Something i never understood why mmo's didn't incorperate even more into the games is the difference in damage type, or damage resistance. Kings Field and II, and old game for ps2 or maybe even ps1 (great game pick it up sometime) had every armor and weapon with 3 sets of modifers on them, imo like it should be. Slashing, Piercing and Blunt. Because in actuallity almost everything you'd swing at a monster would utilize some portion of all these. A spikey mace shouldn't just be classifed as blunt, it can peirce too albeit not as much as a spear or dagger but has some puncture too it, even a little bit of slash. Greatsword for instance would be high slash, a mild amount of blunt (think heavy sword crashing into you) and some piercing theoriticly you could stab someone or something. Now you can also put those modifers into armor, leather might be good at handling peircing and slashing, but little blunt protection, where say chainmail but be better for slashing but less peircing and more blunt. Also your monsters could have these different resistances/weaknesses. Would give you a reason to carry around more than just one or two weapon. Even in vanguard you use the best you can find or what effects / stats you want on a weapon, not the type (slash 2hb 2hp) for any particular reason, fact it makes very little difference.

I agree, the 8 Jin is too much. I just hate to see everything on endurance, specially abilities that have a mystical quality to them, where you think someone changing form to a encompass the abilities of a spirit dragon wouldn't be on the same thing that i use to swing my staff, or kick the mob.
I would like to see the cost reduced to something reasonable, 3-4 jin and have its longevity more reliable.
And no, at 2+ minutes you can't rely on a second invis, but you should be able to get where you need to go in about 2 mintues.

Dragon sweeps the Claw doesn't require you to be in combat to use, just fire it off and watch you'll gain jin at anytime, only whirlwind requires you to be in combat.
Places like rahz everything in Rahz see's invis, so its quite useless regardless. Im sure APW will be the same, simple fix tho if it doesnt, save up 20 jin before you initally invis, this way if it fades or pops you have a spare invis to pop off.
If you get stuck under a see invis mob, having instant invis isn't going to help you out no matter how costly or free it is, its gonna see thru it as soon as you stand, so like any other mob or situation you get stuck in FD under a mob, do like anyother good monk does, pop up jam RiTW or Iron Skin and do a Soaring Leap, and use Ignore pain if needed, until your far away from your assaliant.
I'm sure most of you have figured this out, since they nerfed Whirlwind, but it still works for dragon monks. Just face a wall or open area (i.e. no mobs) Fire off 2 or 3 Dragon rakes the claw and get jin, click meditation (so you don't lose jin, fact even gain some) start to meditiate, and wait for your endurance to build back up as soon as your full, stand up and repeat you'll have full jin in about 30 or so seconds.

Back to the spirit dragon topic; I don't find jin ever hard to come by just pop off a few AE facing no mobs, free jin, or walk up and beat a random trash mob for jin and fd it off when you have enough. maybe 8 jin is a bit much, but instead of changing it to a 30 second clip and having to dash and fd - dash and fd, just lower jin cost or fix duration to approprately be 10 minutes more consistantly.
Today messing around, i was able to travel from the start of Thel the bridge, fireing off aspect, and invisd all the way to the named without it breaking - i can't imagine having to dash and flop all the way there, thats ridiculous. Also was able to invis from "the pit" in the swamps, and wander thru the tunnels quite a while before finding my way to the phage, with no interruption. On the way out it faded, leaving me to just use RiTW and just build up some jin on a wandering priest, 10 seconds and i was on my way again, where as im sure with endurance as a means of cost you'd still be flopping on the way down.
