This is seriously killing me playing at all. I'm pretty casual, I (would) mostly play this game a few nights a week when I have some spare time, but lately I've been playing other things cause I just don't want to play a character with bad animations :/

I really wish they hadn't ignored this before putting the changes in. Now it's probably not even going to be fixed until sometime in January due to the holidays.

Sadly, I'm not surprised, but...When they made Secret of Fire/Ice toggleable, they didn't fix the animations. I'm still stuck looking like an idiot with gimpy combat moves whenever I have either of these up. Please call attention to this, Quinn. I picked up EQ2 again but I still wanted to play Vanguard - and I really have a hard time playing a game when I look stupid.  I want my skill animations back Sad Starting to lose interest, heh.

I really don't like the way this new FD sounds. I like the way FD is now,  save for the fact it never works on mobs significantly higher than you, but I can deal with that.

If they're gonna turn it into a "skill" thing (which I personally dislike) a la EQ1, they need to cut the reuse timers on all versions of the spell in half and make it not run on the global cooldown.

Gonna add another voice into the animation w/ secrets here. I'm just now reaching 20 and I ONLY use flame stance for emergencies because I can't stand the lame animations when it's up.

Fists? *sissypunchsissypunch*
Staff? *gimpytempletap*

Aside from that I'm liking the changes. Was hoping I could get some tanking/soloing love as a harmonious monk who duos with a druid Smiley So I'm pretty happy.

Only thing I didn't like....Storm Stride. I'd honestly rather have it cost 1 Jin than 10 endurance. More often than not the Jin cost for me was offset by opening with crescent kick - so I ended up adding 1 jin to whatever amount it was originally at.

If they're gonna change the Jin cost on Storm Stride imo it needs to change to 0 jin and that's that, or it should just stay at 1 jin. I don't really wanna see it costing endurance, honestly.

Could you give us some end costs on the skills? Those (from what I've seen) don't change over the levels, and will help me decide between harmonious/drunken.

I'm not liking the harmonious end costs early on (currently 15) as they cost a lot more than they help.

I'm a 15 monk now, and I've been trying to focus my weapon styles on hand to hand/fistwraps and 2hand blunt/martial staff.

My hand to hand weapons are pretty uberific atm due to a very generous 50 monk sending me a superior protector's handwrap of striking and giving me money to buy a second one (but the second one misses the "of striking"), but I need a new martial staff. When I was being PL'ed in the Ra'Jin stronghold on Kojan, I killed a senshi master and got an Uizado Martial Staff, which was OMGUBER for its level. Well atm I'm using a Sandstained Martial Staff for my staff, and its a level 13 staff (compared to uizado which I think was 6 or 7 or Cool and it's really not much better, and it's kinda disappointing. Anyone know where I can get pretty good martial staff for my level? Willing to quest Cheesy

After going harmonious and using my aum to get some new skills, thousand fist is no longer available to me as a finishing move. Even if a chain triggers, I can't use it, not to mention it's not listed in the chain area.

Is this a bug? Or did I just get screwed over on this skill?
