Title: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Zerathule on January 15, 2008, 08:38:48 AM Hi all,
I was wondering if some of you guys did the quest for "Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm" Curse link : http://vg.curse.com/database/items/details/1371315/ There is a post on curse that explains the quests a bit, but i was looking for tips, and i'd like to know at what level i could start the quest. It seems this item is prety nice and could last until i get the level 48 crafted powered bladestaffs So, how hard is the quest ? I have no info on the wave of mobs that spawn in the quest ? What level and/or how many dots ? Should i gather a group or is it duoable with a disciple ? I can get a full group of level 30, but is it enought ? or should i wait for like level 35 ? Any tips would be welcomed on this quest :) Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: RhoShan on January 15, 2008, 08:55:08 AM Bah... at work and can't open the link :(, i'll have to peek when i get home
Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Zerathule on January 15, 2008, 09:06:09 AM Its a quest in Cragwind Ridge that gives the following item :
Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Soulbound Two Hands Bladed Staff WeaponSpeed 2.85 Damage 162 - 243 (70.88 Damage Per Second) +8 Strength+8 Dexterity+8 Vitality+50 Hit Points+50 Energy+55 Melee Damage Activated Ability: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral StormRaises your chance to dodge incoming attacks by 5% for 60 sec. Weapon Bonus:Critical hits gain double weapon damage. Weight: 3.00 Item Level: 30 Required Class:Monk, Disciple To get it, you need to do 2 quests with some sahrds and shrines. As i've not been there its hard to say much more about it. But for a level 30 weapon, it really seems very good. Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Ushiba on January 15, 2008, 09:44:59 AM This is a time consuming quest. It requires that you farm 500 mistral slivers from Cyclops. Now you don't have to farm them all yourself. As long as someone within your group has 100 of them they can aide with the quest. You take 100 slivers to the quest giver and he changes them into a dull shard I believe. You will require 5 dull shards. IT is these you take to the three lesser shrines. Now for the temple of winds. you requrie 5 dropped shards (Dropped shards are from named mobs at the lesser shrines). So saying this you will be requried to complete a lesser shrine 2 more times to give you a total of 5 shards. Each shrine spawns I believe 3 mobs at a time, you will have to kill these until a named mob spawns. This is the mob that drops the requried component for the temple of winds. As well a cloud may spawn. DO NOT agro the cloud. From my experience the cloud is not able to be killed, as well it can throw you from the plateau that you are fighting.
This is all I can remember atm. Hope this is able to help you out Ushiba Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Zerathule on January 15, 2008, 10:13:13 AM Wow that's nice info :)
Any idea of the mob's levels ? or the number of dots ? Would it be duoable Monk/Disciple ? Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Fujitsu on January 15, 2008, 01:15:34 PM its doable with just 2 if your both level 40ish, better off getting a full group at 33-34. the reason is you fight multiple mobs per wave and 4-5 mobs can desimate you as a monk
Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Rainen Jitsu on January 15, 2008, 04:29:52 PM All the mobs for the lesser shrines are 3 dots around 33-35. The shrine of wind is 4 dots I believe that are around 36?
Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Fujitsu on January 15, 2008, 06:41:39 PM Not entirely true, i beleive each lesser shrine does have 4 dots for the last wave, atleast the named for each shrine is a 36 4 dot i beleive. I could have sworn tha there was at least 1 4 dot per wave of enemies. Im actually working on this on my rogue atm but it will be a good 2 weeks of farming shards with my limited play time
Title: Re: Stormslam, Shock of the Mistral Storm Post by: Rainen Jitsu on January 16, 2008, 04:37:23 AM I'm pretty sure those named were 3 dots when I did it last week. I figured they would be tougher than that and they weren't.
