Title: Crafted Swords?
Post by: Tenison on January 07, 2008, 11:19:13 PM
Hiyas folks I'm looking to pick up some t3, t4, and t5 crafted martial swords for my drunkard and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what kinda focusing and resonating items I should put on them..  Also does anyone have any suggestions for t3/t4 staves?

I like the Parrying focus on Martial swords personally

I've tried the parrying focus, and even at +200 on a T% sword it seems to do no significant stat changes on the character sheet. So i ditched it in favour of a mitigation one.

+200 parrying skill had very little effect for me

I have a martial staff with a -270 to all resists proc, (also lowers avoidance by 20%) all for 20 seconds.  Highly useful in raids.  Cant remember the name off the back of my head.

I use a powered blade staff of devestation currently as the highest dps weapon in the game (minus the apw ones that have yet to drop)

I think corruption is the proc you're thinking of.

Anyone know if frost procs will stack with Secret of Ice?  I'm thinking of asking a guildie to make me on of these Flawless Pariah's Martial Sword of Scorching (http://vg.curse.com/database/items/details/1138312)  Untill GU4 when melee haste matters, I don't see a reason to put Speed on it. Also unless the +parry stats really adds up I don't think Parrying will be more useful than the +hp.

From what i was told while you may get the icon to show like it stacks the acual effect likely wont.Stacking currently is fubar on many debuffs and Buffs.Without getting to complicated the way i understand it is only the more powerful of the debuff will land and do what its supposed to.
