Vanguard Monks

Hey all,

So I've got many alts, and on a few of them I've gotten some learned abolities.  I didn't see much about it in here anywhere so I thought I would ask.  I've heard that there is a learned ability in TK, but haven't confirmed it.  Was hoping folks could tell me the scoop.  Thanks!

Reed in the wind 1- Learned from spiders outside tk/mobs in CIS
Reed in the wind 2- learned from roaches in darguns tomb
reed in the wind 3 - mobs in Raz inkur

Can search and find more specifics but thats all i really remember off hand, although with the changes in the levels of the skill i would hope they intend to make these skills available on lower level mobs.  Lvl 16 is ritw 1, but tk is definatly a mid 20+ area now so who knows

"Handlers" (none from tamers) in rahz gave me updates every single time i tanked them. i got my first however from a flame maiden near ahzek, but seemed very rare as i had killed alot of them.

Are there specific mobs in CiS that give credit for this? And do you mean the actual sanctum, or just the mining area?

Yep learned the Reed in the Wind in TK this morning. I was fighitng worgs outside the keep when i got the first message. Then another two inside the keep fighitng the spiders. The shaman I was with stayed back to see if he could learn it. Didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise, but he looked like he was having fun. :angel:

Anyone know anything about dropped abilities?  I saw an upgrade for Goading Slap drop in APW so far.

Anyone ever seen any REAL upgrades. I mean, like adding a lot of Dmg.
Superior Goading Slap is some nice utility, but doesn't really increase you Dmg.
Crescent Kick Dmg is stupid anyway, it's just a Jin Builder. I saw Rogues
get Superior Backstab. Do we get any real cool new Skills (that add Dmg...) ?

Anyone know how deep the roaches a are in DT or if there'another area I can learn RITW 1 from?

ritw 1 is from spiders at TK and some mobs in CiS

ritw 2is raoches in DT, not to far in , i think just after the big room...

You can allso learn ritw2 from the humanoid´s in the cave of Karrus Hakrel.
The same palce where u find: Dalkain´s Ring (+9 con,+70 Feign Death, required level 32)

I learned Ritw 2 in river palace iirc.

of subject but is that ring droped or quested?  as much info as possible would be great :-p

its a rare drop...It drops off of the named basalisk. I camped it twice. Makes pulling the big boys a bit easier having the extra 1.4 levels worth of FD skill.

Also on a note ive been doing the biggest quest line there with releasing the spirit guy.  Im on the part where i just got the book and i need another 80 orbs to translate the book from the fallen graveyard.  Anyone know the big reward?

If you read the disciple forums  the +fd is broke on that ring per avarem or avair ..anyway the dev basically says its brok and they were looking into refining it to something more useful

aye but im bored out of my mind since i cant raid (i only get 1-3 hours a night) so i was doing the karrus harkel quest line anyways.


Fyi i recomend learning ritw3 from the handerls in RI, took 3 mobs and 10 min with 100 int.

nm figured it out its the named matriarch, thx qtm.  Hopefully gu4 has update for the rings

A few months a go i was in RI and being a monk i drew aggro on one of the water maidens in there.....i then got an update on RITW 3....but i didnt get it completed...
Few days ago i was back in RI and i tanked every water maiden i could find but getting no more updates on the ability....is it broken?

never heard of water maidens updating it, just flaire/flame maidens and handlers

Ah.....thought all maidens updated it....ill go back and look for other maidens  ;)
