Out of stance I have 15% mitigation. Even if it reduced it by a hard 10% that doesn't come out right. Very confused.
In defensive stance I find I can plow t hough things I couldn't before, especially with the new ignore pain. In offensive stance I am getting destroyed because I have pretty much 0 mitigation. They should either fix it, or if it is as intended, think of another downside to dragon stance. As the attack monk I would expect to be in offensive stance, not forced to defense if I want to solo for armor quest. I know this because I just got a bladed staff (never had one) and for 2 days before the patch I practiced with it and it was long and hard work to get to 100. After the GU I got my hand to hand and 2h pierce up to max (280) in less then 30 minutes.

I would like to see the oriignal mitigation penalty come back (meaning a percent of your current mitigation. not as a whole number) . I havent seen any movement on that though. I however, will keep asking about it.

So for example, if I get a crit and the finishers open up, but dodge AND parry before choosing any reaction, I can still hit the 1st finisher in teh chain, then parry reaction, then dodge reaction. Choosing one finisher does still turn off the other finishers though.
This adds a LOT of extra power to my monk. That coupled with teh extra Jin it feels like I have due to teh *wonderful* toggled secrets. Just noting it as it didn't seem an intentional change. We would be more of a glass battering ram, which sort of defeats the purpose :) I'd be okay with the original penalty, as that was noticeable enough. Was playing my monk yesterday and all of my finishers/openers greyed out, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why.
I would hear the sound of them opening, but nothing was lighting up at all. Macros, keystrokes etc weren't working. One thing to mention though is that I didn't use any Aum to attempt to learn new skills. I did use it to refresh the buff itself however. Which leads me to the 2nd bug.. Aum Liat(Run speed buff) is not retaining it's buff if you log. When you log back in, I am finding that the icon is there, but I have no run speed modifier. Have not checked the parry buff though. Many other bugs already reported... and some issues with FD that i'm still having trouble deciding whats really going on. There any chance that it's not telling you that you've failed at times? Also i've had it succeed at times, mobs run away... and suddenly rush back and reaggro though i'd not moved or unfeigned. I stun pulled a mob down near Wardship in one of the dungeons, as it got to group tank began beating on it (got teh established aggro message), i hit FD to keep the 2nd stunned mob from coming, and on success our pulled mob lost aggro, ran back to former pathing, aggroing a huge train on us... it was like my successful FD took away all aggro from party, not just my own. Train was caused by attacks in progress as the mob suddenly ran bardspeed back to original location. I'm still stuck looking like an idiot with gimpy combat moves whenever I have either of these up. Please call attention to this, Quinn. I picked up EQ2 again but I still wanted to play Vanguard - and I really have a hard time playing a game when I look stupid. I want my skill animations back :( Starting to lose interest, heh.

I noticed it when I would level but wasn't sure why and had assumed it was a CoreUI3 bug. I also seem to have debuffs appear to land (Secret of ice/Adder Hand) but show no icons in the debuff window. Then go to Settings -> Window customize (button at the bottom) and make sure "Debuffs horizantal (mine)" is checked.

Ive been refering a lot of younger monks to the site as now i feel its very good site for information on skills, forms , stances, gear etc. I think the one thing we lack as a community is a stronger quest/guide section. Flying kick, if placed on a hot bar, does not "light" up correctly. I have a macro for my chains which obviously does not light up when the skills are available so I drag the non macro'd ability to the hot bar to act as a visual cue. Ever since the last game update my flying kick hot key appears to always be active the global cooldown fade effect works but the key never grays out as though it's not available.
All other chain abilities light and dim accordingly, it's just flying kick that seems to be bugged. 1) clumsy whirl---its currently an ae, was it before hand? its the defensive drunken skill after a dodge. Its description doesnt say its ae, and its rather bothersome to me when descriptions dont match what its actually doing. 2) Slap hands, it says im "blocking" the attack and countering for X dmg. However the block and dmg message are a different color then the "you hit xy for z dmg" and after a few parses im really not noticing mob hp go down from the counter attacks where as i actually think im taking the dmg. I was trying it on weaker mobs that wouldnt kill me, 4 dot lvl 32s and i wouldnt see their hp go down and mine would go down twice as fast..... long story short i think its buged and im currently taking dmg instead of the target......also can we get the end cost lowered to 3-5 (i think its 9 atm) 3)Foolhardy swagger is for sure not adding hate correctly, i wouldnt be suprised if it was TRANSFERing 12% of my agro to the target. Which would make sense why more then 2-3 feeds turns into almost no noticable difference (youve lost most of your hate) 4)Stormstride is buged, its not teleporting when mobs have their backs to walls, infact half the time it does a regular attack from my current position. this is good and bad, its NOT getting me stuck in walls, but at the same time i wish it wouldnt fire off the attack if its not going to teleport me. Foolhardy Swagger definatly does not add hate to my defensive target(have tested many different situations and never has it done what it should do) as a 14 percent hate builder. After a relog aum liat buff icon stays up but the effects are gone for the runspeed. a few times after a FD mobs still come at me and attack even though the success on fd worked,this has happened in several ways.1 If i nerve strike sometimes very rarely the fd clears the agro but mob comes to kill me anyway. 2 sometimes when splitting a roamer set and fd works 1 mob seems to continue to agro and will kill me if i dont re FD(could be due to APW lag issues though) Title: Re: Please post GU3.2-3.3 Bugs here Post by: Khana Kopnisien on January 05, 2008, 04:24:58 PM Chains are totally SNARFED up for me. The finishers' icons stay lit up the entire time, making it very hard to see whether they're actually available or not. Also, chains are canceled without me getting stunned or missing. And finally, I seem to miss more on finishers with a Bladed Staff than I do with a H2H setup, both with maxed skill. All of these are hugely annoying.

One thing i noticed is.. if a mob dies and i'm currently with a unusued crit... switching targets and having another crit chain start does restart the timer for the new mob, however.. many times i'm seeing it say 'this ability is unavailable' or something to that affect. Same holding true with counters. And like Khana explained, hotkeys are a nightmare staying highlighted after use etc, still vanishing after learning new abilities or attempting to. I've always had to redrag hotkeys to my bar for counters each time i log in (i hate using the mouse during play), but even that won't solve the situation with chain attacks remaining lit.

Also wondering about Safe Fall, under general, i have Safe Fall maxed out for my lvl, and still have hundreds of points leftover.. was there another skill that we're supposed to have that maybe got left out somewhere alone the line? Maybe an original version of Feign Death?? It happens as good as every time when iam fighing his angry repare skelleton adds. I cant get to trikker any Chain finisher attacks. At Zaraax himself or the "lesser" repare skelleton adds , there are no problems. I don't know what triggers it, because it worked fine before. What will happen now at times, is:
1- You activate Aspect of the Spirit Dragon. The icon for the buff doesn't show up on your buff list. 2- It drains Endurance until it's depleted, at which point it's supposed to stop. It doesn't, your endurance is permanently draining without the benefits of invis. 3- Since there is no icon for it on the buff list when this bug occurs and since clicking it again activates it again, the only way to cancel this is to use FD or Ignore Pain. I've had this bug two times yesterday, both in and around APW. They'll show you invis even after it drops, or you'll randomly pop visible. So it's not just monks on this one, bard and bloodmage versions as well. Also, an alarming amount of players/npc's dropping into the ground... especially on any sort of incline. Targettings been a mess because of it, and line of sight issues are running amok. I've had alot of issues melee'ing due to this, so am temporarily playing alts til it's fixed and i don't get myself killed trying to fight targets i can't see/target.

Aum Liat: also experiencing the run speed loss when I log in, but additionally I lose run speed when the buff times down to 35 mins left or after. I lose run speed most consistently between 31m and 29m left. But... i'm losing sight of my defensive target often, yet it remains onscreen ... it's only after i try making use of it do i notice that it's not updating and im currently not carrying a target. examples : trying to /assist a target thats no longer my target, trying to heal said target with racial heal, rescues etc.. I even tested it with my auto crit chain forcer ability (and it didn't miss), the only way I can fix it is to FD and meditate real quick.
-There is also a bug dealing with damage shields (in my case in particular with crafted gear) where it will proc on the mob, seconds after it attacks you knocking you out of a successful FD. - Soaring Leap sometimes gets bugged and it is like you have parachute on even when you don't, so you just float to the ground mid leap. Chunking fixes this usually, and I rarely see it in APW so not sure what causes it. - for some reason tdragon stance sometimes sticks when I change to storm dragon so I get both effects. I have petitioned all these, and talked with GM's about them and so far they have just said they are not intended and would submit it for me, but I thought I might as well add them here.
