Hi Monks

Recently i have been practicing setting up for big hits.
Yesterday I had a 90k epic ( not a buggy VG players epic) but a real exploding heart epic. I was using secret of Celerity the Cleric had plus 20% damage buff running (forget the name) Group consisted of Monk Shammy and another Monk and was farming some zenn mobs for clickys.

So was contemplating if i was grouped with a Cleric, Bard, Druid and a BM  (using Quickening symbonite x2 Damage for 8 seconds)  Think it would be possible to get a mob fully debuffed then set up for massive burst damage of well over 250k prolly closer to 300k. This assumes an epic Hit.

Even so on a normal Exploding heart if set up properly using above classes plus belt of ages, Secret of Celerity, Symbonite of Quickening should be possible to set up normal chains making well over 100k damage per chain!

Just some thoughts anyways wondered if any had come close or made more damage in a single hit?

Monks have arguably the highest damage spike in the game. You are just scratching the suface.

Try stacking Celerity / Errant strikes /  jin surge in there for starters. There are additional items like (The Countess Fury) wich can boost your burst DPS.

I did find  that Jin surge will break a chain.

Can you tell me more about "Countess Fury" this is a new one to me.

*Errant Strikes is a drunken monk ability that acts as a 2nd  "Celerity" type ability
*You will be able to use Fists of Celrity with Secret of Transcendance after GU3 part II so there will be more damage there
*Jin Surge will no longer break chains in GU3 part II - even more damage
*Countess Fury is a expendable item that can be received via a quest in Floridel iirc that acts like quickening symbiote

I assumed Errant Strikes was the Rogue grp Damage Buff, seems not, thanks for clearing that up.

Nice to know some even better things are around the corner.  :)
