Vanguard Monks

Hi gals and fellers,

I'm having a bit of a problem. I simply cannot find better hand-to-hand weapons than those I've got, which are:

Main hand:

I can find items with higher DPS, but crap stats (much like the Xennskin handwraps' mere HP bonus), and I can find items with better stats, but worse DPS. Is there any advice you could give me? Could crafted weapons be better, and where can I find a list? Are there any quests you'd suggest?

I am 50 and use 2 pantheon claws.  Quinn told me yesterday that a good combo would be Hand of the Godking as primary with the pantheon as an offhand.  Until you can use the Godking I would go with two pantheon weapons.

I wish they would combine the handwraps and knuckles skills instead of having 3 hand weapons to increase.  Would be nice to have all hand weapons, martial sword and bladeded staff.  Meh..

I'm using the same weapons on my 32 Monk. It was the best I could find, although keep in mind its almost impossible to find weapons for monks. Just curious what you paid on your server?

What I paid? I did search long and hard before deciding, but (listed prices are estimates, because my memory sucks):

Xennskin Handwraps: 1g20s
Claws of Bloodletting: 1g60s
Valien's Electrum Knuckles: 80s

I did find better weapons on the broker in the meantime, but I don't know their names or stats by heart. I'll repost when I do. I play on Gelenia, btw.

Anybody got any idea who drops claws of bloodletting? VG@Curse has no info on drop, couldn't find em on broker neither :(

If only I could figure out how to finish the pantheon quest line, these would be mine  Anybody know any good sources of info? I also heard the questline is bugged. Ive tried certain quests, and it seems to be the case. This is apparently only since recent patch.

ehh..pantheon is a pain imo. I have only done it once, so I can't give you great information...especially cause someone else just sumoned me where i needed to be.

The first quest you need to get something to follow you and turn in that quest. The second one is something where they test your ability to survive and you get a wicked meteor storm raging at you that you have to live through or you fail.  One quest is to kill some named snake, one you have to free some innocents..by free u need to kill. some other one has something to do with a flower. Something else you have to get aan item that drops off some guy in order to complete. and at the end there is a named guy you need to hail, then do some long weird battle then you get the cloak. At which point you either keep, or sacrifice for random items and such.

I know this is all very vague, but it really is the best i can do atm..I only did it once and it was a long time ago..and I probably wasnt sober lol. The ulaks are very random so you could do the questline 100 times and never get one or whatnot. The named guy at the end is like a 5 hour spawn or something rather redonkulous.

I know this doesnt help much, but i hope it gives you a lil better of an idea of how it works.

and i have no clue if it is bugged or not. FYI, the part where you need to get some item that drops off some named guy is called like the hunt or something, its timed and only one group can be on the quest at a time and that part seems to be the buggiest part...as i was told.
