Vanguard Monks

Hi all.  I decided to wait (more like just neglected the other weapons because there was nothing ever viable besides fist weapons) until the high 30s to really go back and train up 2hd/martial staff skill.  I have raised it up to around 120 just fighting stuff my level, but it is very slow.  Will I gain more experience if I go back and fight lower level stuff, stuff that I would normally gain skill at at the level (i.e. at 120 skill I should be fighting level 12/13 stuff).  Obviously I would hit the mob more, but would also make the gains more common?

First time I got a skill up, it took forever and ever (I aoed lowlevel mobs to gain skillups). However, both piercing and blunt was done after the recent fix that misses have a chance of giving a skillup - and it takes approximitly 1.5 days of grouping to go from 1 to 400+ (and should easily be 500 if that's your cap within 2) - it really speeds up when you approach the end. I wouldn't recommend soloing without your skill capped out though. ;)

Anybody know if going back to lower level stuff will help gains if I am solo'ing?  Don't wanna join a group and raise it and keep whiffing, not too fair.  Rather raise it up on my own. 

With your DPS in its current state you really think they'll notice?  :P

Raising skill from 0 any time after level 20 is a big pita.

Meh. Best bet is to aoe low level mobs
