Vanguard Monks

Curious to see what other monks are using,

Currently I am using Aluul's Claw, and Hand of the God king.

32 monk here currently using Corrupt Golem Carver + Nilar's Claws most of the time and Bladestaff of the Vine as my 2Her.

im also a 32 monk and for a few lvls ive been using neathod claws of the behemothx2 since they each add a +1% crit chance  ;)

another 32 here! I've been using Zank, Bladestaff of the Ages.

Lvl38 monk using Flawless Bandit's Bladed Staff of Accuracy
145-218dmg, 55.69dps, +8con +16dex +7melee accuracy

You are extremely lucky to have the two highest DPS fist weapons in the game. Killed every name, including all summons, in Rahz multiple times. Only seen the Templar BP and the Mace as far as heroics go.

Fists:
Hand of the God King
Hrukstraz's Serrated Shinbone

Bladed Staff:
Zank, Bladestaff of the Ages

Martial Staff:
Graystone Bladestaff of Purification

Marital Sword:
Superior Guardian's Parrying Martial Sword

Probably going to save up cash to get a heroic Martial Sword and Bladed Staff made. Unless they change the Graystone to actually be a Bladed Staff instead of a Martial Staff. Then I would have a Martial Staff made for me instead of the Bladed Staff. Still farming for Aluul's Claws too ><

Ya tell me about it, I was out collecting powders for the guild when they killed aluul, and was glad to hear that he had dropped it, I was the first on the server but didnt get server first /punt vgplayers. Right now im working on the final part of the quest line in afrit for the legendary helm but have yet to see any drops for the last part of the quest line, but im thinking its either broken or its not completed. Im really hoping our "epic" weapon will be a h2h weapon, if not ill have to skill up the others and most of them are at like 50.

5% crit (obvious all handwraps have this)

no other stat.....just replaced this with the graystone

Should at that at 43 I use Hrukstraz' serrated shinbones and hierloom pugalist wraps.  Sometimes I swap out the wraps for Claws of the beastlord.

I've actually been working to develop this very project as a tool for monks. It's still a work in progress though, at least for what I had visions of for it. However, it's also my understanding that the folks at Curse Gaming have plans to expand their database to include additional information that I've been compiling as well, which is exclusive to Monks only.

Not certain when mine will be ready for general use, but given the plans at Curse Gaming, I'll probably hold off a bit until we see more on that front. Plus, there's the added issue that a good percentage of Monk weapons need to be tweaked anyway, which means any work I do now could change drastically at some point anyway.

ahhh nvm, never seen that named before in rahz, i might be gettin a group and campin that claw

i'm lvl 16 using some green item lvl 23 i think wraps and pole..

wonder if someone who is 50 can make a compilation of what they think are the best weapons to get at maybe incriments of every 5 levels? (where to grind for them, or what to look for when grinding world drops, etc)

Main hand: Pristine Xennskin Handwraps: 39.45 DPS, 53 HP
Off-hand: Claws of Bloodletting - 33.33 DPS, 18 DEX, 34 HP, 1% melee damage.
For skillups: Knuckles of the Vine: 25.85 DPS, 9 DEX

2-Hander (mainly for AE damage near the Wardship):
Zank, Bladestaff of Ages - 46.18 DPS, 12 VIT, 10 STR, 2% melee dmg

My Martial Sword and Martial Staff are crap, I just use them for skillups.
