I started at like -8200 faction, and after a day or two of grinding am only -6400. And I need to get all the way up to 12k..... =/ Just too much work I think.
Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: Raijinn on March 24, 2007, 08:09:55 PM Somewhat passed over that section while grinding. Vinjin Could you Post a little more information on the Warship Armor quests as well as the Orb that Summons Shruikens if you have any? at 43 I have not yet found anything better than that and I am considering going back to grind it out, exp or not. Thanks
Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: Riot on March 24, 2007, 08:56:22 PM At the Wardship, there's a quest that has you kill 100 Bloodhowlers, which rewards you with 500 faction (although I heard at a certain faction, it stops giving you 500 and starts only giving your 250, but I don't know for sure). Each Bloodhowler mob you kill (3 dot level 33-36's) gives you 1 faction. So essentially, it's about 600 faction per 100 kills (per mob + quest). I'd say it takes about an hour or so to finish the quest unless you're in a full group and a bit higher level than the mobs. So it'll take a good 25-30 hours to grind em if you start at 0. Unfortunately, I'm an Orc and start with -8100 faction with the Wardship. I don't think it's worth it spending nearly 60-70 hours trying to get this stuff, unless there truly is nothing better at 50. The shurikens are nice though.
Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: twynn on March 26, 2007, 06:34:35 PM Ive spent my whole Monk life in Kojan. Could someone tell me more abut these quest, and where to go to start them im lvl 22 almost 23 and im just not getting my monk wep from tomb of the lord tsang.
thanks Shyn Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: Kanan on April 13, 2007, 01:35:11 PM Yep riot.. i spent like 2 days there and got so little faction really that I did not want to spend the incredible time sink that it would take to get the faction when, eg, bounty hunters is on par, and OMG simpler.
Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: Madness on April 13, 2007, 06:40:09 PM Just a repsonce to the faction aspect.. if you are looking at your full faction rating not your dynamic faction rating and it is less than -7999 you should nolonger be kos to that faction... I started as a goblin monk and moved to darknarg because i knew the area better and I have now increased my faction all over thestra.. it really doesn't take that much... approx 2-3 hundred faction points and then their your friend, and your able to accept quests. It is the price you pay to play an evil race..

You wanna head over to Ahgram ToD take that boat or teleport, and head there, CIS is also a good place to exp, lower CIs upper CIS, then head to river valley and cragwind at 30ish. 20-30 flys by in when grinding in these areas.thanks Shyn Title: Re: Tier based Monk Armor Guide Post by: Khana Kopnisien on May 15, 2007, 08:33:06 AM The bounty hunter line has rather good chest and legs as a reward. You can start it near the River Palace riftway. look for NPC's that have Hunter in their name, and for quests that start with "Bounty Hunter: ". The legs have 18 Hand-to-hand added to them, the chest something as well... I'll edit this when I'm actually online.
