Title: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Vazerai Mordorus on March 22, 2007, 09:40:13 AM - Ranger – Offensive form now only increases melee damage. It also increases accuracy and lowers parry and dodge. Tool tips have been added.
- Ranger – Evasive Form now increases dodge and parry, but lowers damage. Tool tips have been added. - Ranger – Precision Form now increases ranged damage and accuracy as well as dexterity. Our stances have been broke since release, and they take the time to fix Brads class but continue to ignore ours. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Shengyi Tsung on March 22, 2007, 10:25:51 AM yeah load of BS!
Well im done with it. I'm not playing my monk until they fix him. I'll play my necro who is fun and uber =P Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Chidori on March 22, 2007, 10:29:49 AM I'm doing the same right now. Leaving my monk in the garage untill Sigil actually stops boosting the most powerful classes in-game and starts taking a look at the broken ones who have been givin rats asses to get by all this time.
Playing a necro now (only lvl 15) but hell i'm allready having a blast mowing through 3 dots 2-3 levels higher than me, sometimes even 2 at a time! Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Vazerai Mordorus on March 22, 2007, 10:31:53 AM Yeah I actually quit the game entirely, the last patch fubared my hotkey macros and I just had enough of playing and paying for a broken pos game. I am really pissed I wasted 70 dollars on this game. (initial purchase price and the monthly subsciption.)
I think I will actually be done with mmos entirely, and I am teaching myself to program and hopefully have enough skills to create my own mmo, however deluded that may be. I want to play something exotic, I want to traverse the world as a Werewolf, or Vampire, or Giant or anything but humanoid01. I want to create a game where the player feels powerful, not a weaksauce beotch who couldnt fight themselves out of a wet paper bag. And you can balance that, sure my Werewolf SkyKnight can take on say 5 6 even level mobs at once, but you can make all those mobs worth the same xp as 1 even level mob in other games. Its all about perception, and I dont know about you but I am tired of feeling like a wimp in every mmo I play. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Ninbei on March 22, 2007, 10:32:06 AM According to the rangers the "fix" on their stances is actually a nerf.
Apparently the stances were broken, applying the postive effects but didnt really incur the negative costs (sorta like storm dragon stance), and now it's fixed so rangers actually have to pay the price of the stance. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Riot on March 22, 2007, 10:50:49 AM A rogue sent me a tell yesterday interested in a weapon I was selling auction channel, and the conversation went like this:
"What class are you?" "I'm a Monk." "Oh... =( I feel sorry for you, my condolences." FROM A ROGUE. Come on Sigil, we are the very very very very very very very bottom of the totem pole and nothing is being done. Why do you think there are only like 5 monks online at a time, and only a handful of them above level 30? And they're dropping like flies now.... DO SOMETHING. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Deinnun on March 22, 2007, 11:01:50 AM Brad is not playing a ranger.
I wonder how many active monks are left now. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Kanan on March 22, 2007, 11:34:04 AM Ya know.. all the pessimism drives me nuts at times. How long has this game been released? Just over a month. How long were many of the bugs of EQ1 around? How many from old world stuff are STILL around? Answer to both: many.
Abandoning the class bcs we got thrown a bone 2 patches in a row and then we get skipped for a week is acting far too hastily imo. Give it some time. If things are still as dumpy as they are in another few months then its reasoned, but its still barely a month after release. Sheesh. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Ryoku on March 22, 2007, 12:12:11 PM I'm done as well. This is pathetic and I'm completely and utterly fed up.

If things are still as dumpy as they are in another few months then its reasoned, but its still barely a month after release. Sheesh. It's not been just 2 patches. It's been even since mid-beta. The game has been out for 2 months, and classes like Rangers and Paladins and Warriors and stuff are getting constant fixes and buffs in every patch. I can't really name one major thing that's happened to Monks that has helped that much or fixed anything. I'm not giving up completely and I'll probably continue to level my gimp, just because I hold out the hope that ONE day something will help us out, and I don't want all the hours I've spent to get to 34 wasted by re-rolling. I understand that game development is a time-consuming effort, but I think there has been a lot of great planning here that will probably be ignored. I don't mean to be pessimistic, I'm usually not (that's why I've stuck with Monk so far when I was skeptical at level 18, back a week after the game officially launched). I've been dealing with being the red-headed step child of the dev team for 2 months now, and it's seriously getting old and getting more of a letdown (not even with the class, but with the team unfortunately) each patch note. Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: sarmone on March 22, 2007, 12:47:23 PM you know when you start a business you make different departments for example, a section that works on classes, world, finances, etc. so sigil doesnt have 1 person that works on classes and its already about 2 months, they had beta too.
i dont know how much time they need but they better quit slacking because they're losing money..... :tickedoff: Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Tari on March 22, 2007, 04:20:13 PM Can't even be bothered to log in anymore, really...my guild will be better off because of it, too. No more dead weight to haul around. >_>
Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Soluss on March 22, 2007, 04:29:23 PM Its funny.. i love the game but i havent even logged in to play regular since friday... hell the last couple times I played, I crafted... I hate crafting. I dunno, its not the game because I love it... so it must be the class.
Title: Re: haha I guess you have to have the CEO play your class to get changes.... Post by: Ryoku on March 22, 2007, 08:45:27 PM I think it's absolutely irresponsible on Sigil's part to allow some of the issues our class is facing to have gone unfixed for such a long period of time. It's been said but it is a very valid point: Did this game not have a beta phase in which ridiculous quirks such as Dragon Stance/secrets not stacking should have been addressed? Why are we still the class with so many inane bugs causing us all to denounce our monks out of sheer frustration? I just don't understand the reasoning behind this. The only logical explanation is that Sigil is trying to fix the most played classes first, seeing is how they are the majority of the playerbase and the majority of their income. However this doesn't make it any more acceptable.
I'm not a whiner and I'm not trying to merely contribute to the negativity, but I'm not even enjoying my character anymore and it's DIRECTLY related/caused by the performance of the class in game and its associated problems that remain unfixed 2 months after the game and X amount of months passed beta.
