They don't crit as often. I have tried to like them, but always end up switching back to fists. The double damage on crits just isn't worth it. Title: Re: Anyone here find a use for staff weapons? If you can toss Jin Surge in on top of that it could be impressive.

It slows my white attacks down, but i seem to do a lot better crit dmg with the staff equipped.

Post by: Tari on March 02, 2007, 06:43:39 PM I loved using 2h staves on EQ, but the way finishers rely so heavily on crits, using anything that doesn't increase critical percentage just feels...wrong. And I'd also heard the double crit damage won't affect certain skill crits if not all of them, however that was a while ago and could have been changed.
