I know you all have them.

I'll post some up if there's any decent response.

label: END(tm)

/end
/endharvest
/end
/endloot
/end

Must hit escape and spam this button for those times when you are trying to FD after getting jumped while harvesting or after killing a harvestable mob and right clicking the corpse too many times, then being unable to FD or attack or do anything at all.

You can do a mass corpse pull macro:

/target playername's tomb
/corpse
/target playername's tomb
/corpse

blah blah all the way down.

This will target every member on list and pull their tombstone to you while you spam and run out of aggressive area.

Self tombstone macro:

/targetmy
/corpse
/lootall

This works from a good distance away too!

Macro for looting quickly:

/endloot
/lootall
/loot
/targetnextcorpse

Every time you hit this,  it will cycle thru every mob corpse on ground near you and attempt to loot it.  This helps alot when you can't see the corpse or when there are many corpse in one spot.  If you don't want to accidentally loot soulbound items when you are in PUG's,  then edit and delete the /lootall line temporarily.

WARNING!!!  DO NOT USE THIS TOO MUCH AND BECOME A "LOOT WHORE" OF YOUR GROUP!!!!!

im sure they do and by all rights it should be fixed.  however the jin stance at the same time should also be fixed to actually regen jin rather then just extending the amount of time you can retain it out of combat.  It should be faster regen then meditation IMO maby 1.5 to 2 times as fast.  Yes it may seem like a lot and make meditation pointless to a harm monk but that would give the harm monk something different then the drunk/drag monk and make it unique and viable path. Currently the only time i use meditation anyways is to check on knew aum skills

Would it be worth using if it gave a discount on jin related moves? That was a suggestion I was thinking of throwing out there. like perhaps -2 Jin cost or something?

jin discount would be awesome, maybe just -1 because soem jin abilities dont use much, or just a buff to the jin regen rate.

Yep, fixed now.
As a side-effect, we can't change stance on-the-fly for some specific skill and then change right back now either.
Oh well.

So they fixed these things that helped us out a small amount, but left in all the bugs and such that make us suck so much?   :tickedoff:

Title: Re: Macros Macros Macros!!! Post up all your useful macros.
Post by: Soluss on February 28, 2007, 01:22:14 PM
Yep thats how these devs have operated since EQ1 .. told ya they would fix the bug that benefits us before they actually fix a useless skill.  As this skill stands the only use is to hold what jin you currently have untill the next fight. meditation builds jin almost twice as fast. in fact if you start with 0 jin you would see it move to 1 jin then back down to zero... thats how slow this "regenerate jin stance" is.  I have found that if you use this stance with meditate that you will regenerate jin approximately .25 secs faster per jin. wooptie doo.

Dalrock - I'm pretty quick at clicking on corpses for the loot but sometimes I run into people that I knew had to have some kind of macro because they beat me every single time.  Now I know.  Thanks.

No problem Miso :P

Hattori - You can make incoming macros pretty simple.  I'm not fully sure of what you really want but here is something for starters.

/gr Incoming >>>  %to  <<< !!!
/cast "insert ability here"
/gr Assist your local tank --->  [  %td   ] and help keep the noob paper tank alive please :P

This is group stuff ofcourse.  If you want to change it to guild chat or just use /gu instead of /gr .....and so on.

The %to will input whatever mob/creature target you have targetted currently.  The %td will give your current defensive target,  which would be the tank of your group.

You can also use this to macro your Waning Palm ability for deaggro since you will need to have the person you are trying to deaggro targetted for it to work.  This will also work for our hate increaser skill.  You get the idea.

Hope this helps.

ahhhh ok so %to for target and % td for assist         thanks a bunch!

would like a message that if i get a bad pull  like 6 or 7 mobs, the other three members in the group dont try to save me when i fd  :uglystupid2: or at least let me split half the mobs.

so i would do somthing like this /gr bad pull!!!!! im faking my death  :o dont assist ,dont cast dont do anything!!!!

just got my lvl 18 skills so i have those to work on yet as well

just started grping regular with a shaman a cleric and a druid  we just did the 5 brother qeust 13 hours it took us but we got it,   were gonna get into tougher stuff so i wanna get my monk in order to do its job

just kidden

Post by: Dalrock on March 06, 2007, 11:33:08 AM
Yeah,  just add  /cast "Feign Death"   to your bad pull macro.  If you get the mobs that want to camp your corpse while you are FD,  then just hit that macro twice more and really fast,  and you should drop them okay.

Anyone have a macro for a bandolier type of weapon switch? (Like from martial sword to the 2 one handers you use and vice versa)

I've been trying to get one to work but always get error messages like "trying to move item with no handle (-1)" or such. Would be very nice to see if anyone got a good weapon switch macro going as that's pretty essential to us :)

make a macro like this.

/wear "Fistwraps of Randomness"
/wear "Ulak of Bob"

same works with
/wear "bladestaff of uber"

how do you add a pause to a macro?

if you do /cast "boundless fist V"
               /cast "cresent kick IV"

it wont let you do the kick because of the refresh timer. how do you get around this?

Well, as the game is built right now you can't pause.  They did this to prevent botting (So, I'm told).  I suppose it would be possible to put in a bunch of junk commands /target %to or something to eat up time.  But it looks like macros lines are executed almost simultaneously.

is there something you can enter into a macro to ensure autoattack is off?  I'm trying to figure out a macro for nerve strike... so far I got...

/targetoffensive clear
/autoattack
/targetnearestnpc
/cast "Nerve Strike II"

problem is if for some reason my auto attack is toggled off, it will togle back on.. or there is a timer... not sure what the entire issue is.  is there a command to just stop attacking?

Since they changed crescent kick from the global refresh you can setup a macro which will chain it and another attack, providing you open up with the Crescent Kick. Two I find useful are:

/Cast "Crescent Kick IV"
/Cast "Boundless Fist V"

OR

/Cast "Crescent Kick IV"
/Cast "Iron Hand IV"
/Cast "Boundless Fist V"

The first one will build 3 JIN every click for 30 endurance cost; the second will build 3 JIN but use 2 JIN for activating (refreshing) Iron Hand, but resulting in a net 1 JIN gain.

As a follow up attack Dragon Monks can use this one:

/Cast "Jin Surge IV"
/Cast "Six Dragon's Strike III"

It will cost 5 JIN, but Six Dragon's Strike will return 1 JIN, total net cost 4 JIN. This attack will automaticly use Jin Surge on you and your allies, empowering the Six Dragon's Strike, which also exploits the Enraged weakness caused by the above Jin Building macro.

Fast loot macro change. Only need two lines now.
/lootall
/targetnextcorpse

Thats all you need to loot a body fully and target the next body and repeat. It closes the window now so no need for the close loot window lines.

Reactions hotkey. This works great for us with our parry based and dodge based reactions and also our crit chains all in one key. Even uses the advanced finisher too!

/reactionautocounter
/reactionautochain

In that order your counter is used if for some reason all go off, counters to me are bit superior so just my preference.
When you hear or see a chain/counter go off just hit this one hotkey. If you get the kick off the adv finisher opens and you can use the hotkey to activate that as well. Clears a ton of hotkey space and I actually get to use my counters a lot now instead of missing their fast cooldown.

Does this use longer cooldown finishers before the shorter ones?  Like thousand fists if its up and flying kick if it isn't?

No sadly, just whatever is first avalable in a chain. But its mostly meant for normal kills where you just kinda spam abilities that come up and no real strategy. If you wanna use a specfici one you can always manually click it.

As drunken I have 2 sets of gear for pulling/tanking and dps'ing

ex.
/combatformset "dodge/parry/armo stancer" (depending on ur discipline)
/wear "parry sword"
/wear "any evasion/hp gear"

Then a 2nd macro for when i want to dps with dps weapons and stance. Allows you to instantly switch gear when ur taking damage or going to pull, rather then shifting through bags. Think it encourages you to switch more often since you click 1 button, rather then stance + items.

*weapons will change while in combat, other gear you need to FD before changing*

i've got a question about macros so i thought it better to highjack this thread instead of creating a new one.  :D

anyway. i want to know if a comand exists that let you switch between the different action bars. from nuber 4 to nuber seven for example. or one up or one down.

I just had what I think is a great idea, but I am not near my computer so I can't try it out just yet, but tell me what u think!

okay so we know we should equip the double crit- 2hand weapons just before you click the crit button right?
well a macro listed previously said you could use a macro like
/reactionautocounter
/reactionautochain
to do any crits you get, so what about a macro like
/wear "2-hand double crit weapon of uberness"
/reactionautocounter
/reactionautochain

??
would this work? what are ur opinons guys?

Lokii -Xeth-

ps sorry bout the horrible, grammar, confusion, layout etc i am in a hurry cuz i have to go take a test, so bear with me!

Post by: Khana Kopnisien on September 18, 2007, 09:55:10 PM
No, I don't think so. I recall having read somewhere that all commands in a macro are executed simultaneously, instead of in chronological order. The two-hander would get equipped first, then both abilities would go off is what I think would happen.

Title: Re: Macros Macros Macros!!! Post up all your useful macros.
Post by: Fujitsu on September 18, 2007, 10:15:26 PM
No commands in a macro go from the top of the list straight down to the bottom.  What you are thinking of is that macros instantly go through each line without a pause.

Ala - a 12 line macro executes in <1 sec.  However, to test that it truely goes from top to bottom make a harvest target macro

/target mithril
/target true silver
/target adamantine

Run around pressing the button and you notice it only targets mithril.  The second an adamantine pops though it will be the only thing you can target even if there are 12 mithrils right infront of you.

well i got a chance to try out my theory, and guess what?
Works like a charm! I just love macros!
Now almost all my crits can be double dmg! YAY!

ok so that is going a lil overboard, but since i use the
/reactionautochain
/reactionautocounter
macro i don't get to pick which crit i get with it..so if i want to use a specific one i  have to click the hotbar weapon, then the crit icon...fast

Now almost all my crits can be double dmg! YAY!

Think you're mistaking finishers for crits.  Unless you're doing a move that guarentees you a crit next hit, no dice on that.

Does mean you can swap to a weapon with higher damage for reaction chains, while using weapons with crit bonuses while waiting for a crit to happen though.

Anyway, main things I do is modify my attacks to do /reactionauto first, helps avoid missing crit chains if I'm just mashing buttons.

My second most used macro is one that does jin surge + feet of the fire dragon.
