Vanguard Monks

I hit 16 and went back to town to grab my quest and decided to go with Drunken. I went to the appropiate NPC but the Drunken Master Trainer had a red name, but he reponded to my hails and gave me the quest update and the new quest. He sent me to an NPC to buy some ale, to whom im also kos to. Any idea's if this is because im an Evil Dark Elf monk or just something that hasnt been looked into yet?

yep its probly just because of your faction with the quest giver, aslong as it dosent stop you from completing the quest it isn't a problem really.

In the end I doubt racial stats will really have a large effect on ability to do your job.  If he wants to be a Dark Elf then let him be a Dark Elf Monk.  And what Dragon Master Monk wouldn't want his own pet dragon?

Yea i couldn't really care about the race stat bonus'. I wanted to be a dark elf so thats what i was. Anyways, im not able to complete the quest. The Drunken Master Trainer is KoS as i said but i can get the quest, the only thing is he sends me to an NPC at a good aligned encampment so im unable to buy the Ale he wants for the quest. Ive tried other spots and the ale doesnt work.

Can someone else buy the ale and give it to you? Or is it an actual 'quest' item?

Looks like you will either have a TON of faction work to do, or have to go back to your starting city to do it.

Done this as an orc.  Basically you have a couple of choices:

- Plow through the nearby Ksaravi (Ratmen) until you boost your faction with Khal over 500 - this will make you non-KoS not only in Khal, but also in most of the surrounding area, including the merchant that sells the ale.

- Get someone to buy the ale for you.  I can confirm this works just fine.

I have a problem too.. I can't even speak with Master Of Drunken Style =\ Otherwise after 1-2 mins staying near him, he starts to attack me O_o

Alright this may help... I am a goblin Monk so I have been subject to quite a bit of faction problems...   first  /showfactions and see what your faction is to the people you are trying to converse with.. my full faction say with the city of Khal started out at -8100  my dynamic faction was 0...  it is only required to have a full faction rating of around -7999 to nolonger be considered Kos and be able to recieve quests...  I did this in Khal by killing the ratmen buy the hundreds...   I have had to do this in four area's so far because I wanted to play on Thestra and Qalia..   exploration in a region you need to do quests in is essential to see what provides faction and what does not... forest creatures do not provide faction for the most part... it is usually some sort of humanoid creature that will provide your faction....
