Vanguard Monks

In beta I was only able to get up to a level 10 Goblin Monk (I plan on playing a goblin monk on release as I had a fun time with this class/race.) My question is, has anyone that's gotten above a level 10 monk know if there is any cool armor for the monk cass or if all we have to look forward to is more light armor sweater vest (:D)?

Monks can wear medium armor. I was sporting some stuffed leather pieces at the end that went with the BMF wallet all monks should carry. :)

If I'm right on this in terms of detail it probably goes like Light Armor < Medium Armor < Heavy Armor? I think when I ended beta I was sporting light armor so hopefully I can start wearing medium armor now. I can't remember, but I think I was wearing medium armor in the newbie areas, is darkscale armor a medium armor?

I've not seen anyone mention armor/weight.  I know in EQ1 this was a big issue with monks.  Seeing you guys talk about medium and heavy armor has me wondering.  Is weight not an issue with the Vanguard monks?

I never came across a weight issue in beta. it was space for me. But crafters had not made the large bags etc. It might not be a problem considering your horse gets saddlebags which end up having spaces.

Monk armor is medium armor, but not all of it is the vest looking style. Some of it has a robe look to it. A ranger had won some medium armor and I traded for it and when I put it on it had a robe graphic so maybe the Thestra medium armor has more robe graphics attached to it as opposed to Kojan which I havent seen any robes yet. (May be there are just havent seen them).
