Most (but not all) small outposts are not KOS to races, but start with pretty low faction values.

A note on becoming non KOS - Its not overly hard, so do not despair if you are KOS in a particular location. It will require some work, but nothing that cannot be overcome.

Thats np, if they hate me il just hate them back (and kill them if able, im looking forward to getting high enough level to kill wood elf npc's.... ah bringing back the good old days of EQ)

As long as I can raise faction to enter any city I wish I am cool with that.  If not I will be a sad Orc and probably end up doing Kojani or something.

Was checking that out last night, its not all that hard to get the 500 faction you need for a city. There are usually sub15 mobs in the surrounding areas of each city that will give the faction needed.

having enemy factions while doing your monk mastery quests at level 15 was a challenge i think i died about 6 times :P I kept spawning in the middle of jalens crossing surronded by enemy npcs at the graveyard, ended up realising i had to jump down into the water anyway and I didnt need to go into the town hehe
