Title: Best Monk Puller? Post by: Tsungi on May 22, 2008, 10:23:18 PM Hi guys,
I am joining Vanguard soon and would like to get some info on the monk. I played EQ1 for years and loved the FD pull tactics of my monk and vanguard looks to have just what I'm looking for. What I'm interested in is which style do you think is best for a puller? Title: Re: Best Monk Puller? Post by: Xenophon on May 23, 2008, 07:38:14 AM I'd say either harmonious or drunken. I don't know much about drunken abilities, but they are supposed to be the most survivable of the monks. However, as harmonious, I love having Find the Center, which makes me invulnerable to melee attacks for 20 Seconds. I still have trouble with casters, but I don't know that any monk has tools to avoid casters yet.

So fairly situational but still useful. Both drunk and harmonious get temp melee invulns, harmo's lasts longer but drunk have a stance the reduces cooldown timers and thus can use theirs more often...realistically speaking for pulling purposes either one lasts plenty long enough for a pull but drunk can cycle theirs faster so I would argue that they are superior in that sense. Hopefully the clean up the glitches with FD succeeding but still "failing" (mob still attacks you even though you were successful etc.) among other things to make this a titch more viable. :) Title: Re: Best Monk Puller?
