Vanguard Monks

Greetings all,

I am Fusoya of the Seradon Server. As many of you may know, I have been granted the honor of the title Raid Class Lead for the Monk community. I look forward to working closely with all of you to resolve issues regarding the class and when the time comes to help shape it into what the community would like to see.

I would like to say that I am not a replacement for QTM as class lead. He has done an amazing job thus far for the monk community and I look forward to working along side of him when he returns. My primary focus will be on the role of the monk in the raid environment. However, I will also be addressing other Monk issues and hope to reestablish the communication between the community and the developers. Although you haven't received much feedback, I assure you issues mentioned here have not gone unheard.

Over the next few days I will be compiling some information that I hope will answer many of the questions and concerns I have seen recently. Although I have not made any posts recently, I do actively read the forums.

Once again, I look forward to working with all of you.

Monk Raid Class Lead

I'm sure you, or news of you, has put a smile on many a monks face tonight  :D

Do other classes have "raid class leads" ?
 If not what is your purpose/why do the devs think monks need special attention for that?
You say "when" QTM returns, do you have news about hm that we do not?

Sorry to barrage you with all these questions on your first day on the job, and thanks for accepting the position and resonsibilites on behalf of monks everywhere!

Clerics I believe have a raid class lead as well, glad to see we have any class lead.

I believe disciples and blood mages have a class lead and a raid class lead as well.   The only reason certain class leads are like this is because they added class leads long before raids.  As such many class leads ended up in guild that wouldnt raid.


Welcome and if you need a hand testing anything PM me on msn (its posted here or you can get it from sung).  Dont think we have any site moderators here anymore, so if you need links to current issues/hot topics i can always dig em up.

I've felt for a while now that having two class leads is a very good thing.

As for congratutalions regarding your position, i'll postpone it once we have more informations on why and how you got it.
Sorry for sounding trollish, but i'm VERY surprised that this nomination was done with no form of communication inside the monk community (and yes these boards being the only VG monk boards, they do represent our community), and that the person supposed to represent us never checked these forums before getting this position.
So, who are you ? why did you discover these forums now ? how did you get the position ? What did the devs told you ? since how long where you in contact with them knowing you'd eventually get the position ? why did you never bother coming to these forums ? what style are playing ? did you tried all styles in solo/group/raid ? What are your views on the class ? for how long have you been playing ?
While i dont agree on all of Fuji's points of views, he's clearly the most active and dedicated member of our community, and would have been pleased by his nomination, as well as it would have felt natural ...

Once again welcome on those boards, and into the community.

Spaming ton of post's very day does not make a class/raid lead.
Have a bit more faith in the devs. and give Fusoya a chance to get into the job.
