Vanguard Monks

So they are supposed to have a worn effect (blackness) that adds 5% evasion and run speed.
Currently you get no buff icon.
You get 6% run speed
You get no evasion from blackness
The boots them self have a + 0.57 evasion mod which is working.. kinda but thats it. 

Class boots
Melee evasion: 28.28
Spell Evasion: 8.97
run speed: 117

With boots on:
melee evasion28.66 (+0.38)
spell evasion:9.11 (+0.14)
run speed 123

You'd say these shoes are better than the monk class shoes?

Also which 5 (or 7) from the class set would you wear and which slots would you have for others?

yeah these are more str/dex/hp and they have dmg rating, which is MELEE + SPELL

i wear bp. legs. arms. wrist. belt, gloves (shoulder/helm are something else)

Ideally id probably go:
Kota arms, zaygius boots, rest of it the class set. 

Kota arms also have 10 endurance!

What about Flayed skin Reinforcements(from Vicus) versus the Kota Arms ?
Flayed Skin : STR 23 Dex 19 HP 124 Melee Crit 40 Melee dmg 81
Versus
Mail of the Dragon Slayer : STR 20 Dex 20 end 10 HP 20 crit 45 54 DR ?
Imho, unless you're already melee damage capped, the Flayed skin is pretty good.

Flayed skin is good, dont get me wrong

but +endurance and + dmg rating (instead of melee dmg rating) is a lot to me.   An extra 3-4% secret dmg is a ton for us
